Over 200 guests attended IVN’s Hanukah cocktail reception, generously sponsored by and hosted at Bank Leumi Palo Alto on 12.12.12. This celebration of light, in collaboration with the Israeli consulate in San Francisco and in the presence of Dr. Andy David, Israel’s Consul General to the Pacific North-West, was an excellent opportunity for the Jewish/Israeli business community of Silicon Valley to mingle and network and become acquainted with the work that IVN is doing in Israel in order to generate sustainable social impact.
Together we lit the fifth candle and sang traditional Hanukah songs. The atmosphere was warm and hopeful. After which, IVN Chairman, Eric Benhamou, gave a short update on IVN’s activities and progress, and shared with them the news of the launch of the IVN Tandem Fund: Israel’s first social fund applying business standards to achieve social change.
We took this opportunity to bid a heartfelt farewell to Eitan Sapir, CEO of Bank Leumi Palo Alto who has been a good friend and partner to IVN over the years. Eitan shall be relocating to New York with Bank Leumi, where our partnership shall continue. We wish him much happiness and success!
The evening was very special and together, we reinforced the optimism and commitment towards effecting positive change, both individually and as a community.
